June 2022 Adventures and Achievements of Skarlette

Skarlette, in June 2022, has seen one of our busiest times, great adventures and lots of achievements. We're just over half way through and still have more coming this month!

Aside from introducing our pure essential oil of Neroli candle and quickly selling out, we've been travelling, talking and always learning. We restocked our beautiful candles and love packaging them up as much as our lingerie.

The Global Woman Summit, organised and led by an incredible and inspirational woman - Mirela Sula, was Skarlette's first official exhibition. What a privilidge to be at this international event with our lingerie.

We met so many inspiring women with quite unbelievable stories, we sang along to "I am Unstoppable" by Sia, many times, hence we left feeling that way! We had the opportunity to meet some great people, one I meeting next week and another I bumped into on Sunday in Paris! We're really looking forward to talking with Reza next week, to see how he can help Skarlette and Prevent Breast Cancer, along with his own contacts, and the added bonus - we live very close to each other, so a face to face meeting is planned!

As an ambassador for Prevent Breast Cancer, I attended on behalf of the charity with Jenny and Roma (fellow ambassadors) and we were honored to share the work of the charity, the importance of their research, the urgency of raising awareness and the need to raise more money. We chatted to individuals, but Mirela also invited us to the Gala dinner and to speak on stage to 200 international guests - honoured, grateful, privilidged.

Despite returning with a lack of sleep migraine, another busy week included attending the Cheshire Woman Awards with Kate as she had been nominated and selected as a finalist. This was for her incredibly hard and most important role, caring for her adult son who has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, as well as looking after her family as most of us women do! Kate has designed and produced amateur theatre costumes for many years for school and community shows, made scrubs and masks throughout the pandemic and set up a business during the same time with our new style of flat lingerie. She's definitely a winner in my eyes, but the winner of the award went to a nurse - so that was equally pleasing for me.

It was a great surprise bumping into our friend and collaborator, Cody Gapare of C-Lash who had also been nominated for all of her wonderful achievements. Can you guess what happened next? Talking, conversation then fabulous ideas and our next fundraiser has been hatched for Prevent Breast Cancer (there's not too much time for sleep!).

This led up to our first international lingerie and swimwear expo at the Interfiliere, Paris. Oh, so many creative ideas started to flow! So many ideas. We now want our big investor to come and help them all start transforming into reality. You can imagine my utter surprise when Anne from Lingerie An, Belgium, called my name (I met her at the Global Woman Summit). Such a lovely lady and such a pleasure to meet her by complete surprise, and she happily introduced us to a very key person from the Netherlands. Talking really is the way forward.

Naturally, while in Paris in a very hot heat wave, we had to have some downtime! What a very beautiful city, to see it from the river was a must in such stunning weather.

For the rest of this month, we have our first pop up shop and PBC awareness at All Seasons Carrol and we are so looking forward to this, and we have our first Skarlette stall at a chairty "Swish" event for Prevent Breast Cancer, which as an ambassador, I am helping to organise. Keep following our social media to find out how both of these go.

Sorry for the long read!
